Scholar continues 'Search for Life on Mars'

KALAMAZOO--The "Search for Life on Mars" is the topic of a visiting scholar lecture at Western Michigan University Monday, Nov. 29, at 4 p.m. in Room 1118 of Rood Hall.

Dr. Barbara-Ann G. Lewis, associate professor in the Northwestern University Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering will deliver the lecture, which is free and open to the public.

Lewis received doctoral and master's degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. Her research includes the physics and chemistry of geomaterials; surface reactions on colloids in the environment; reactions and transport of radium, radon, and other radionuclides in soil, water, and vegetation; and a wide range of related issues.
