David Lyth tapped to edit journal

Jan. 31, 2005

KALAMAZOO--David Lyth, professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering at Western Michigan University, has been named editor of Quality Engineering, a quarterly journal devoted to quality problems and their solutions.

Lyth, who has served on the editorial board of the journal since its inception, replaces Frank Kaplan, the founding editor.

One of four journals published by the American Society for Quality Control, Quality Engineering regularly features about a dozen articles and two columns--one by the editor. Lyth will be responsible for previewing approximately 15 articles per month to determine those that will be sent on to the editorial board for further review.
