WSA sponsors town hall meeting with president

Feb. 18, 2005

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University President Judith I. Bailey will discuss the future of the university with members of the campus community at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, in a town-hall format meeting at the Bronco Mall Center Stage on the lower level of the Bernhard Center.

The focus of the meeting will be public funding for higher education in Michigan and what the future will likely hold for WMU and its students and employees. While the university's economic future is the starting point for the discussion, students, faculty and staff are invited to ask the president questions on any topic of interest to them. Bailey will be accompanied by other senior administrators, who she may call upon for responses to some questions.

This is the second year that town hall meetings have been sponsored by the Western Student Association, the WMU student government.
