WMU HOME > ABOUT WMU > WMU NEWS Collegiate Singers and Cantus Femina sing WednesdayFeb. 20, 2005 KALAMAZOO--Two choirs from Western Michigan University's School of Music--The Collegiate Singers and Cantus Femina--are featured in a free concert Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 8:15 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The Collegiate Singers, under the direction of Jeffe Huls, a graduate assistant conductor, will perform Handel's Coronation Anthem, "Let Thy Hand," and selections from Brahms' "Liebeslieder Waltzes." Works by Chesnokov and American composer Frank Ticheli also will be featured. Cantus Femina, an all-women chorus, will sing "Suite de Lorca" by Einojuhani Rautavaara, "Five Hebrew Love Songs" by Eric Whitacre, and "Las Amarillas" by Stephen Hatfield.
