University Chorale primes for European tour

KALAMAZOO--The international award-winning University Chorale performs in a free "European Tour Preview Concert" at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 10, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University.

Under the direction of Dr. Joe Miller, the University Choral will feature Brahms' "Funf Gesang," Op. 104; Bach's "Lobet dem Herrn," BWV 230; and Jaakko Mantyjarvi's "Shakespeare Songs," as well as choral music from Europe and the United States. The Chorale has been selected by audition to participate in the International May Choir Competition in Varna, Bulgaria, in May.
