Davidson authors new book on problem of evil

KALAMAZOO--Dr. Clifford Davidson, Western Michigan University professor emeritus of English and medieval studies, is the author of a new book, "Deliver Us from Evil: Essays on Symbolic Engagement in Early Drama."

The book provides a modern approach to the problem of evil and examines the original way in which evil was presented in medieval and renaissance plays. A major focus of the book is the way in which audiences are drawn into symbolic action on the stage and are challenged by the choices made by characters. AMS Press, New York, is the publisher.
