Trustees set to meet commencement weekend

KALAMAZOO--The Western Michigan University Board of Trustees will meet Friday, April 22, in Room 157 of the Bernhard Center.
The trustees will begin their 8 a.m. meeting with a swearing-in ceremony for Dennis W. Archer, who was appointed to the board by Gov. Jennifer Granholm in January. The board will go into closed informal session at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to begin its regular, public meeting at about 10 a.m.
The April 22 agenda has not been finalized. Highlights of the agenda will be published the week of April 18 in WMU News.
Groundbreaking ceremonies for a new chemistry building are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, near Wood Hall, and four commencement ceremonies will be held Saturday, April 23, in Miller Auditorium.
