Acting at its April 22 meeting, the WMU Board of Trustees approved an amendment to the Faculty Senate constitution that allows the senate's number of executive board members to grow by two. The change is needed to provide a sufficient number of executive board members so that one liaison may serve on each of six Faculty Senate councils. As currently structured, the executive board has only five members every other year, because the immediate past president of the senate only serves one year on the executive board. The move also allows for additional councils to be added, with executive board members still serving on one council each. Media contact: Cheryl Roland, 269 387-8400, cheryl.roland@wmich.edu WMU News |
