Nurse recruiters to visit campus

Aug. 20, 2005

KALAMAZOO--Career and Student Employment Services at Western Michigan University is readying itself for another busy year. Services that close down during the summer lull, such as skill-building workshops for job seekers, drop-in resume critiquing every Friday, and periodic career days will all be in full swing when the fall semester starts.

CSES will begin its fall 2005 events Monday, Aug. 29, with Nursing Opportunity Day at 11:30 a.m. The day will give nursing students who are enrolled at WMU a chance to meet with nurse recruiters from a variety of health care organizations.

Major events slated for September will include Engineering Opportunity Day and Dress for Success and Practice Interview sessions. Later in the year, there also will be an all-encompassing job fair and career days for students in integrated supply matrix management, education and the life sciences.

CSES maintains a range of online services and resources for area employers and WMU students and alumni through its Web site at www.broncojobs.wmich.edu. For more information, visit that Web site or contact George Eskro at (269) 387-2745 or george.eskro@wmich.edu.
