Campus invited to demonstration of Web CMSJan. 26, 2006 KALAMAZOO--Faculty, staff and students at Western Michigan University are invited to a demonstration of the Web content management system that was included with WMU's new student information system. Representatives from Sungard Higher Education will demonstrate Luminis CMS from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in Putney Auditorium of the Fetzer Center. A Web CMS is a systematic means of organizing, optimizing and managing a Web site, allowing those providing content--department chairs, directors, faculty, staff and students--to directly and quickly update Web content with minimal technical skills. With a good, well-managed CMS, updating or adding content to existing Web pages is as simple as completing an online order form.
