WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" is WIDR fund-raiserFeb. 2, 2006 KALAMAZOO--Kalamazoo Film Society presents "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang," starring Robert Downey Jr., Friday through Sunday, Feb. 10-12, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University. KFS is sponsoring the film as a fund-raiser for WIDR 89.1 FM, the alternative, non-commercial student radio station at WMU. Little Theatre showtimes for "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10; 4:30, 7:00 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11; and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12. Admission is $5 and $3 for students. In "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang," Downey is a charming, petty New York thief who suddenly finds himself in Hollywood with a gay private detective, played by Val Kilmer, as his acting "coach." Enter Michelle Monaghan as an aspiring actress whose sister has just been murdered. The stage is set for a movie that combines film noir, buddy-action-adventure, potboiler, murder mystery, comedy and romantic fantasy. "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" is Rated R for language, violence and sexuality/nudity. The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on Western Michigan University's East Campus. There is free off-street parking behind the theatre.
