New faculty ensemble gives debut recital

KALAMAZOO--Kalamazoo's newest chamber music ensemble, TubaCor, featuring Western Michigan Unmiversity faculty members Lin Foulk (horn), Deanna Swoboda (tuba) and Yu-Lien The (piano) performs in a debut recital at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall.

Performing together and in solo combinations, the accessible program will feature David Gillingham's flashy "Divertimento," Trvge Madsen's modal "Divertimento," and Alec Wilder's jazzy "Suite;" all for horn, tuba, and piano. The evening also includes Swoboda's first solo appearance in Kalamazoo.
