WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News WFS presents Elijah Wood in "Everything is Illuminated"Feb. 15, 2006 KALAMAZOO--Western Film Society presents the Kalamazoo-area debut of "Everything is Illuminated," starring Elijah Wood, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 17-19, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday, 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. General admission is $5 and $3 for students. "Everything is Illuminated" is the directorial debut
of the acclaimed actor Liev Schrieber, adapted from the best-selling
novel of the same name by Jonathan Safran Foer. Wood stars as
Jonathan, a writer that travels to the Ukraine on an expedition
to find the woman that saved his grandfather from certain death
during the Holocaust. A wonderful mix of drama and dark comedy,
the film won the Laterna Magica Prize at the 2005 Venice Film
Festival. "Everything is Illuminated" is Released in 2005, "Everything is Illuminated" is rated PG-13 and has a runtime of 106 minutes. The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on Western Michigan University's East Campus. There is free off-street parking behind the theatre.
