WFS presents Elijah Wood in "Everything is Illuminated"

KALAMAZOO--Western Film Society presents the Kalamazoo-area debut of "Everything is Illuminated," starring Elijah Wood, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 17-19, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

Showtimes are Friday and Saturday, 7 and 9:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. General admission is $5 and $3 for students.

"Everything is Illuminated" is the directorial debut of the acclaimed actor Liev Schrieber, adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Jonathan Safran Foer. Wood stars as Jonathan, a writer that travels to the Ukraine on an expedition to find the woman that saved his grandfather from certain death during the Holocaust. A wonderful mix of drama and dark comedy, the film won the Laterna Magica Prize at the 2005 Venice Film Festival. "Everything is Illuminated" is
rated PG-13 with a runtime of 106 minutes.
