Tuesday forum addresses "Climate Change"

Feb. 18, 2006

KALAMAZOO--Global climate change will be the subject on Tuesday, Feb. 21, when Phi Kappa Phi presents its Winter Forum at Western Michigan University.

The event, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Lee Honors College Lounge, will feature Dr. David Karowe, WMU associate professor of biological sciences, and Dr. Steven Bertman, WMU professor of chemistry. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Karowe and Bertman have titled their talk "Climate Change: What's the Real Story?" and will examine whether global climate change will result in a better climate or will trigger killer heat waves, massive hurricanes, famines and widespread extinctions.

Their talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session and dialogue, along with refreshments.
