WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Ruttinger feted at Friday receptionApril 3, 2006 KALAMAZOO--Jacquelyn Ruttinger, director of exhibitions in the School of Art, will be honored for her more than 20 years of service to Western Michigan University at a retirement reception Friday, April 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the atrium of the Gilmore Theatre Complex. University colleagues and friends from the community are welcome to attend. Ruttinger officially retires June 30. In addition to managing the art exhibition spaces of WMU, she has remained an active artist, and her works have been exhibited throughout West Michigan. Ruttinger came to WMU in January 1986 after serving for two years as chair of the Art Department at Saint Mary of the Woods College in Indiana. She received a BFA from the School of Art Institute of Chicago, and a master of arts degree and an MFA from Northern Illinois University.
