Bronco Spirit Day is second Friday in MayMay 1, 2006 KALAMAZOO--Faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of Western Michigan University are encouraged to wear brown and gold or Bronco gear Friday, May 12, for Bronco Spirit Day. Bronco Spirit Day is the first Friday of each month, unless there are no WMU classes scheduled that day, in which case, Bronco Spirit Day is celebrated the second Friday of the month. The first Friday in May falls between academic sessions and there are no classes May 5. Bronco Spirit Day will be celeberated the first Friday during Summer I session, which is May 12. Other dates for Bronco Spirit Day through the start of fall semester are June 2, July 7, Aug. 4 and Sept. 8, the first Friday during fall semester.
