B.C. Counter moving temporarily to cafeteria

July 7, 2006

KALAMAZOO--The Bernhard Center Counter, popularly known as the "Candy Counter," in the main lobby of the Bernhard Center at Western Michigan University will move temporarily to the adjacent B.C. Cafeteria beginning Monday, July 10.

The cafeteria will continue to offer breakfast and lunch weekdays through the end of summer sessions. Products traditionally found at the B.C. Counter will be added to the offerings in the cafeteria and the cafeteria hours will be extended to coincide with the building hours. Students and other customers will be able to purchase the convenience items previously found at the counter any time the Bernhard Center is open.

A table will be set up in the entrance of the cafeteria to provide building information and directions and for room key pick up for Bernhard Center room rentals.

The counter area will be remodeled to serve as a temporary one-stop convenience center.
