GoWMU, GroupWise, other systems offline Sunday

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's secure intranet portal, GoWMU, will be unavailable Sunday, July 30, from 8 a.m. to noon for a software upgrade.

Several other WMU computer systems and services also will be offline for system upgrades at various times Sunday, July 30.

GroupWise (e-mail) will be down from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Incoming e-mail will be held for delivery after the system returns to service.

Banner, AppWorx and Touchnet will be offline from 6 to 8 a.m.

PeopleSoft databases will be unavailable from 8 to 11 a.m.

Students, faculty and staff with questions before or after the upgrades should contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk at helpdesk@wmich.edu or (269) 387-HELP (387-4357).

Systems not affected

The public Web pages of WMU, including WMU News, will be available as usual. Any changes to the scheduled maintenance and downtime will be announced in WMU News.

WMU webmail (e-mail) will be available, but not through GoWMU Sunday morning. Webmail can be accessed directly at webmail.wmich.edu.
