WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Harvey A. WilliamsAug. 15, 2006 Harvey A. Williams, adjunct professor of philosophy at Western Michigan University for many years, died Aug. 11 in Kalamazoo. He was 75. While at WMU, Williams collaborated in 1973 on the creation of the philosophy department's Heraclitean Society. Frequently writing on the works of German philosopher Immanuel Kant, Williams contributed to the Heraclitean Society's annual journal every year except two from 1973 to 1995. He also served as an editor of the journal for more than 20 years. He completed his appointment as an adjunct professor of philosophy in 1996.
