Peace and health discussed at Friday lunches

Sept. 18, 2006

KALAMAZOO--Beginning Friday, Sept. 22, a series of brown-bag lunch discussions at Western Michigan University will focus on the relationship between human health and peace.

Luncheon dialogues are slated for Fridays throughout the fall from noon to 1 p.m. in room 3267 of the College of Health and Human Services building. Sponsored by the WMU Peace Center, the weekly programs, called the "Alternative Media Hour," will also include films on related topics.

At the Friday, Sept. 22, program, a film about the Gaza strip will be shown, and a discussion will follow on the role that the health professions might play to help built peace in that region.
