The WMU Haunted Hall isn't for the faint of heart, but it does include a Kids Corner so youngsters can participate without the thrills and chills. The annual Haunted Hall will be staged from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28, in Fox-Eldridge Hall in the Goldsworth Valley residence hall complex. The Kids Corner will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. It is geared toward children ages 10 and under and will feature games, prizes, story reading and free candy. The WMU Haunted Hall is sponsored by the Residence Halls and Residence Halls Association. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, regardless of whether the children are braving the Haunted Hall or enjoying the Kids Corner. Cost of admission is $5 or two canned goods. Monetary proceeds from the admissions fee and refreshment sales will benefit Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Greater Kalamazoo. The donated canned goods will go to the Food Bank of South Central Michigan. Eldridge/Fox Hall is located at the northernmost end of the main campus in Kalamazoo. Roadways leading to the hall are accessible from both Howard Street and West Michigan Avenue. For driving directions, visit the Web site at www.pp.wmich.edu/buildings/071.html.
