Voter information available on Web

Nov. 1, 2006

KALAMAZOO--A wealth of information about the Nov. 7 general elections is available on the Web through Western Michigan University's Bronco Legislative Network.

Visitors to the site can find the location of their individual polling station, including a map; a sample ballot for their particular voting district; and independent analysis of all the statewide proposals on the Nov. 7 ballot. These nonpartisan voter resources and others are available by visiting the Bronco Legislative Network home page at www.wmich.edu/BLN and clicking on "resources" in the left column.

The Bronco Legislative Network provides an opportunity to join other Michigan residents in advocating for support from the state Legislature for Western Michigan University. Network members include WMU alumni, parents of students and other friends of WMU. Anyone who has an interest in the future of the University is welcome to join.

For more information about the Bronco Legislative Network, contact Katie DeBoer, assistant vice president for legislative affairs, at katie.deboer@wmich.edu or (269) 387-3606.

Media contact: Thom Myers, (269) 387-8400, thom.myers@wmich.edu
