KFS presents 2006 film "Half Nelson"

KALAMAZOO--Kalamazoo Film Society presents "Half Nelson," a gritty exploration of loneliness, addiction and friendship, Friday through Sunday, Nov. 10-12, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

Little Theatre show times for "Half Nelson" are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday, 4:30, 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 and $3 for students. The 2006 film is rated R for drug content, language and sexuality.

Starring Ryan Gosling and Shareeka Epps, "Half Nelson" is an honest and inspirational film that explores the precarious relationship between a white, male high school teacher (Gosling) struggling with addiction, and a young black girl (Epps) on the verge of losing her innocence.
