"A similar Web-based version of our undergraduate catalog went online in July," says Registrar Barbara T. McKinney," and we will no longer publish paper versions of either catalog." The Web-based catalogs, which will be updated each year in May, will completely replace the paper catalogs that had been published every two years. Both catalogs are available at www.wmich.edu/catalog. Visitors who go to that page will automatically see the current undergraduate catalog. The current graduate catalog can be selected in a drop-down menu in the upper right-hand portion of the page. In coming years, past editions of both catalogs will be available through the same drop-down menu. There are many advantages of the e-catalogs over paper versions. Students and others are able to find what they want much more quickly than by repeatedly referring to an index in the back of a paper publication. With the Web version, users can initiate a new search from any page. The Web catalogs include a feature that allows any user to save information on a particular program or other listing to a personal portfolio for future use, and all information is formatted for easy printing.
