Lin Foulk and guest artist give horn recital

Nov. 13, 2006

KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University's Lin Foulk and guest artist Janine Gaboury-Sly from Michigan State University offer a horn recital at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall. The two artists will perform together and solo in the free, public recital.

Foulk, WMU's horn professor, will premiere "Kilvert's Hills" for solo horn by New York-based composer Hilary Tann. Featuring projections of landscape photography by local artist Mark Cassino, the virtuosic work is both majestic and spiritual, and highlights the lyrical sound of the horn.
