WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News University Libraries supporting Toys for TotsNov. 27, 2006 KALAMAZOO--University Libraries at Western Michigan University is supporting the United States Marine Corps annual Toys for Tots drive this year. Collection boxes are available through Thursday, Nov. 30, in Waldo Library, the Music and Dance Library in the Dalton Center and the Education Library in Sangren Hall. Toys must be new and unwrapped. Monetary donations are also accepted. Please make checks payable to "Marine Toys for Tots Foundation." Since 1947, Marines have been making Christmas wishes come true for needy children. In the area around Battle Creek and Kalamazoo alone, 40,000 children received toys through Toys for Tots in 2005. All toys and money collected in the local area stay in the local area.
