WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Brass Christmas is annual holiday favoriteDec. 4, 2006 KALAMAZOO--The Western Brass Quintet presents its popular Christmas concert Sunday, Dec. 17, at 3 p.m. in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University. The concert is free and open to the public. "A Brass Celebration of Christmas" features the quintet and an ensemble of outstanding students and faculty from the School of Music, including faculty percussionist Judy Moonert. Members of the brass quintet are Scott Thornburg and Stephen Jones, trumpet; Lin Foulk, horn; Daniel Mattson, trombone; and Deanna Swoboda, tuba. The program includes festive music for brass ensemble with selections from the Renaissance, the Baroque, and other periods.
