One-man show travels to a galaxy far, far away

Dec. 16, 2006

KALAMAZOO--Charles Ross's "One-Man Star Wars Trilogy" will take the stage at Western Michigan University's Shaw Theatre Tuesday through Sunday, Jan. 16-21. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

"One-Man Star Wars Trilogy" is a one-hour, high-energy blast through the first three Star Wars films with one actor playing every role, including animals, robots, ships and sound effects. Ross, the writer and solo performer, debuted this unique show in 2001. Since then, his talent has landed him appearances on "Craig Ferguson," "The Today Show" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." Ross performed at Lucasfilm's official movie release convention, Celebration III, to mark the release of "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith."

Tickets for the "One-Man Star Wars Trilogy" at WMU's Shaw Theatre, located in the Gilmore Theatre Complex, are on sale now and range from $25 to $37.50.
