Spring semester classes begin Monday

KALAMAZOO--Spring semester classes at Western Michigan University begin at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, and residence halls reopen following the holiday recess at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7.

Many University services have reduced hours until the Jan. 8 start of the semester, when all offices and services resume normal schedules.

Listed below are hours for selected University offices and services. Faculty, students and the public are encouraged to call ahead to make sure that a particular office on campus is open. For emergencies only, contact WMU Public Safety at (269) 387-5555.

Bernhard Center and Bronco Mall hours are available on the Bernhard Center Web site. All facilities and mall stores are on reduced hours until Monday, Jan. 8.

BCC lab (Bernhard Center computer lab) is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 4-5; open noon to 5 p.m. Jan. 6; opens at noon Jan. 7 and resumes 24-hour operation.

UCC lab (University Computer Center lab) is open noon to 5 p.m. Jan. 3; open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 4-5; open noon to 5 p.m. Jan. 6-7; and resumes normal hours, Monday, Jan. 8.

Sindecuse Health Center hours are available on the Sindecuse Web site. The center and its pharmacy are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 3; and resume normal hours Jan. 4.

Student Recreation Center hours are available on the center's Web site. The center is open noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Jan. 4-7; and resumes normal hours, Monday, Jan. 8.

Waldo Library hours are available on the library's Web site. The library is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Jan. 4-5; closed Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 6-7; and resumes normal hours Monday, Jan. 8.
