WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Trustees elect new officers at Friday meetingJan. 25, 2007 KALAMAZOO--The election of new officers for 2007 tops the agenda for the formal annual meeting of the Western Michigan University Board of Trustees set for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26. Convening in Room 157 of the Bernhard Center on the WMU campus, trustees will elect a chair and vice chair to serve one-year terms. A recommendation to approve a new three-year contract with the University's Police Officers Association also is on the agenda. In addition, trustees will consider real estate items, including the lease by WMU of property for a previously announced biodiesel production initiative that will fuel Kalamazoo city buses. Also at the meeting, the board will receive a report on the status of the University's presidential search and hear reports on a variety of topics, including recent gifts, grants and personnel moves.
