WMU is closed today due to severe winter weather

KALAMAZOO--All campuses of Western Michigan University are closed today, Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, due to severe winter weather. All classes are canceled. All offices are closed, except emergency and essential services. There are no public events on campus.

Essential Services

Among the essential services that have confirmed hours of operation today:

  • Bernhard Center, 7 a.m. to midnight
  • Sindecuse Health Center, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closing early)
  • Student Recreation Center, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Waldo Library, 8 a.m. to midnight (branch libraries are closed)

University Closings

Announcements of University closings are made through the public media (area radio and television), through the University's Emergency Information Line at (269) 387-1001 and on the Web in WMU News. Details of cancellations, including whether specific public events on campus will be held, will be published in WMU News as information becomes available.

Always assume the University is open, unless there is an announcement in the public media, on the Emergency Information Line or in WMU News.
