JoSH to perform Friday in Kalamazoo

March 11, 2007

KALAMAZOO--Upcoming Indian-fusion band JoSH will perform Friday, March 16, in Kalamazoo in an event that also includes a Halaal buffet dinner catered by Usmania Restaurant in Chicago.

The event begins at 8 p.m. at the Latvian Heritage Center, 100 Cherry Hill St. Admission is free for Western Michigan University students with a valid ID and $25 for all others.

The musical duo of JoSH from Montreal is best know for its current hits "Mausam" and "Mahi Ve" and has performed across the globe. Its songs showcase both modern and traditional bhangra beats and music, but they are strongly influenced by hip hop and pop music.

The event is sponsored by WMU's Pakistan Student Association. For more information, contact rso_pak@wmich.edu or visit www.rso.wmich.edu/psa.
