Human Rights Awareness Week events announced

KALAMAZOO--Student organizations at Western Michigan University and local activist groups are sponsoring a series of events Monday through Friday, March 19-23, as part of the fifth annual Human Rights Awareness Week.

Among the activities planned are the following, all of which are sponsored by registered student organizations of the University and are open to the public free of charge.

Tuesday, March 20

Sexism Workshop, sponsored by Womyn's Equality, Bernhard Center, 7 p.m. Contact Ashley Choker, a3choker@wmich.edu.

Wednesday, March 21

Information session and vigil, "A Tribute to Darfur," sponsored by Students Taking Action Now: Darfur, Brown and Gold Room Bernhard Center, 8 p.m. Contact wmustand@yahoo.com.

Thursday. March 22

Lecture, "Living Anthropology: The Power of the Between," Paul Stoller, sponsored by Anthropology Student Union, 209 Bernhard Center, 7 p.m. Contact Dr. Bilinda Straight, bilinda.straight@wmich.edu
