WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Expert discusses entrepreneurial capitalismMarch 27, 2007 KALAMAZOO--Robert Litan, vice president of research and policy at the Kauffman Foundation, will discuss "Entrepreneurial Capitalism in the 21st Century" when he speaks at Western Michigan University Thursday, March 29, as part of the Haworth College of Business Distinguished Speaker Series. Litan, who will speak at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Auditorium of Schneider Hall, represents the only large American foundation that focuses on entrepreneurship. Previously, he was affiliated with the Brookings Institution for nearly 20 years, first as a senior fellow and then as director of economic studies. In addition, Litan has served as a staff member for the President's Council of Economic Advisers, deputy assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice Antitrust Division, associate director of the Office and Management and Budget, and a Department of Treasury consultant on financial policy issues. All programs in the Distinguished Speaker Series are open to members of the WMU campus community free of charge and by invitation to others.
