Fashion show highlights student designsApril 1, 2007 KALAMAZOO--Move over Cavalli--scheduled to hit the runway this spring are the collections of more than 20 Western Michigan University student designers. "Alta Moda," a runway fashion show featuring the designs of WMU students, treasures of local boutiques and talents in makeup, hair, modeling and music will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in the exhibition hall of the Radisson Plaza Hotel and Suites in downtown Kalamazoo. "Alta Moda" is open to the public. General admission tickets are $7 each and will be available at the door. VIP tickets are on sale in advance only for $25 and include complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and reserved seating. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The fashion show is sponsored annually by the Merchandising Opportunities Design Association, a registered student organization at WMU.
