International gala marks season's end

April 16, 2007

KALAMAZOO--Students at Western Michigan University are invited to ring in the summer and celebrate the end of spring classes with a touch of international flair. WMU's 2007 International Ball will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, April 20, in the West Ballroom of the Bernhard Center.

The formal, non-alcoholic gala will mark the close of yet another semester at WMU and give everyone a reason to dance the night away. The evening will feature a variety of American and international food and music. All WMU students are invited to attend the ball and each may bring one outside guest (17 years of age or older). Formal attire is requested.

Space is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance by Tuesday, April 17. They are $20 each and include beverages, d'oeuvres, dinner and a professional photo taken the evening of the dance. Tickets may be purchased from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Office of International Services and Student Affairs on the third floor of Ellsworth Hall.

The International Ball is hosted by WMU's International Programs Council. For more information, contact Katie Smith, IPC president, at k4smith7@wmich.edu or (269) 387-5872.
