Success is also about the business behind it. An upcoming conference in Grand Rapids will give an insider's look at the business behind the magic of Disney, a part of the operation that deals with managing the landmark company's core strengths rather than animation, soundtracks and voice-overs. Sponsored by the Western Michigan University Office of Lifelong Learning and Education, "The Disney Keys to Excellence Institute," takes place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Mich. Facilitators of the world-renowned Disney Institute will share the successful business practices that have made the Disney name synonymous with leadership strategies, service excellence and customer loyalty throughout the world. The one-day event will challenge attendees to look at their own businesses--whether small, mid-sized or large--in an entirely new light. Showcasing the powerful strategies and business models that are the cornerstones of Disney's long-term success, facilitators will show how to apply Disney's innovative approach and achieve immediate results. The Disney Institute is a recognized leader in providing experiential training, leadership development, benchmarking and keys to cultural change for business professionals across the globe. Each of the professional facilitators is a true Disney "insider." Not only are they successful trainers, they have worked their way up through the ranks of the Disney organization, having performed a wide variety of roles in nearly every sector of the organization. All have worked with a wide range of clients, from Fortune 500 companies, large health care institutions and national associations to small businesses and start-ups. Together, they have trained tens of thousands of leaders from more than 35 countries in more than 40 industries.
