Helen E. SkinnerAug. 17, 2007 Helen E. Skinner, a staff member at Western Michigan University for more than 14 years, died July 17. She was 84. Skinner came to WMU in 1981 and retired from the Valley II Dining Service in 1996. A Portage, Mich., resident, she had previously owned a snack bar for several years and worked as a waitress at a variety of establishments, including the Beacon Club in Portage.
