Sundance winner "Once" plays at Little Theatre

Sept. 7, 2007

KALAMAZOO--The Kalamazoo Film Society presents "Once," winner of this year's Sundance Film Festival Audience Award, Friday through Sunday, Sept. 14-16, in the Little Theatre at Western Michigan University.

Show times for "Once" are 7 and 9:30 p.m. Friday; 4:30, 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday; and 2:30 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 and $3 for students.

The film, which also claimed the 2007 Dublin International Film Festival Audience Award, is a musical drama that unfolds beneath a mesmerizing score. This "guy meets girl" tale about an Irish street musician and a young Czech immigrant chronicles a relationship that begins simply, with a shared love of music.

"Once" is shown in English. The 2006 film has a run time of 85 minutes and is rated R for strong language.

The Little Theatre is located at the corner of Oakland Drive and Oliver Street on WMU's East Campus. Free off-street parking is available behind the theatre.
