WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Storm water management is forum topicSept. 14, 2007 KALAMAZOO--Discussion of storm water management practices and a tour of the innovative system used at Western Michigan University will take place Friday, Sept. 21, on campus. Representatives from architectural firms O'Boyle, Cowell, Blalock and Associates and Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr and Huber will discuss the storm water management system used at WMU's new Chemistry Building and Richmond Center for Visual Arts that helped successfully reduce flooding and water discharge. The event, from noon to 1:30 p.m., will begin in the WMU Richmond Center Lecture Hall, room 1004. A walking tour will follow. Costs are $15 for members of the Southwest Michigan Sustainable Business Forum, $20 for non-members and $10 for students. SMSBF members may bring guests at the member rate.
