Resource fair addresses needs of international students

KALAMAZOO--Information on buying a car, joining a registered student organization or improving your English will be featured at the International Student Resource Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, on the tennis courts of Western Michigan University's Student Recreation Center.

Campus and community members will be on hand at the free event to offer information to students about the resources available to them including:

  • Immigration information
  • International student advising
  • Buying a car
  • Cell phone plans
  • Driving schools
  • Library resources
  • Obtaining Social Security cards and drivers' licenses
  • Career and Student Employment Services
  • International Programs Council
  • American Family Connection
  • Writing Center
  • Student Recreation Center
  • Kalamazoo County Convention and Visitors Bureau

The fair is sponsored by WMU's Haenicke Institute for Global Education. Refreshments will be provided.
