WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Geosciences, math and physics hold open houseNov. 8, 2007 KALAMAZOO--A two-ton copper boulder recently raised from Lake Superior, an underground laboratory and a mineral collection will be highlighted at an open house Wednesday, Nov. 14, on the campus of Western Michigan University. Faculty and staff from the departments of Geosciences, Mathematics and Physics will be on hand from 4 to 6 p.m. in Room 1104 of Rood Hall to discuss undergraduate programs, scholarships, internships, careers and WMU research activities. The event is aimed at high school students, teachers and counselors, and current WMU students. Refreshments will be provided, and free parking is available next door at the Fetzer Center.
