Tickets on sale for upcoming Miller shows

KALAMAZOO--Tickets are on sale now for four upcoming performances
at Western Michigan University, including Odds Bodkin's "StoryBlast,"
"A year with Frog and Toad," St. Petersburg Ballet
Theatre's "Swan Lake" and "Cirque Dreams Jungle
Fantasy."
Tickets for all shows are available by calling (269) 387-2300
or (800) 228-9858, online at millerauditorium.com,
or by visiting the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office or the Epic
Center Box Office in downtown Kalamazoo. Groups of 20 or more
should call (269) 387-2312 for special discounts.
"Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy"
Saturday, Dec. 1, 7 p.m. -- Miller Auditorium -- Back by
popular demand, "Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy" combines
striking visual and special effects with action-packed acrobatics
to conjure up a colorful dream in an enchanted forest. An international
cast of aerialists, contortionists and other vine-swinging characters
bring this jungle fantasy to life on stage and in the air. Tickets
for "Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy" at Miller Auditorium
range from $22 to $45.
Odds Bodkin's "StoryBlast"
Friday, Dec. 14, 7:30 p.m. -- Shaw Theatre -- Described as
a "one-man vocal universe," master storyteller and
musician Odds Bodkin has won the Parents' Choice Gold Award,
Indie Award and Storytelling World Award for his children's recordings
and picture books. Join him for "StoryBlast," a family
concert that gets the audience involved and jumpstarts the imagination
with a series of four high-energy musical tales. Tickets for
"StoryBlast" at Shaw Theatre range from $10 to $15.
"A Year with Frog and Toad"
Sunday, Dec. 16, 3 p.m. -- Miller Auditorium -- Fresh off
Broadway with three Tony nominations, including Best Musical,
"A Year with Frog and Toad" takes characters from Arnold
Lobel's popular children's book from the page to the stage. This
musical follows two friends, the cheerful Frog and grumpy Toad,
through four adventurous seasons together. As they experience
everything from waking from hibernation in the spring to sledding
across the winter snow, the two learn valuable life lessons,
including one about friendship and rejoicing in what makes each
of us different. Tickets for "A Year with Frog and Toad"
at Miller Auditorium range from $10 to $35.
St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre's "Swan Lake"
Sunday, Jan. 13, 3 p.m. -- Miller Auditorium -- Under the
leadership of award-winning artistic director, Yuri Petukhov,
the St. Petersburg Ballet presents "Swan Lake." This
timeless coming-of-age ballet tells a magnificent tale of princes,
princesses, an evil mentor and spellbound women embodied as swans.
Tickets for "Swan Lake" at Miller Auditorium range
from $15 to $40.
