WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News No butts about it--Smokeout is ThursdayNov. 14, 2007 KALAMAZOO--Snuffing out smoking is the focus of the Great American Smokeout Thursday, Nov. 15, on the campus of Western Michigan University. Members of WMU's Colleges Against Cancer student organization will be at the campus promenade near the Chemistry Building from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. handing out information on the dangers of smoking and tobacco use and resources available to help people quit. The Great American Smokeout is a national day sponsored by the American Cancer Society to urge people to quit smoking for a day and help them quit for good.
