WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Storyteller Odds Bodkin performs family concertDec. 3, 2007 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University presents "StoryBlast," a family concert that gets the audience involved and jumpstarts the imagination, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, in Shaw Theatre. Described as a "one-man vocal universe," master storyteller and musician Odds Bodkin has won the Parents' Choice Gold Award, Indie Award and Storytelling World Award for his children's recordings and picture books. His "StoryBlast" concert keeps the audience singing and clapping in rhythm with a series of four high-energy musical tales. "Kids today need to imagine more and watch TV less," Bodkin says. "My job is to jumpstart their imaginations, to create such a stimulating entertainment for them, they can't help but imagine." Tickets for Bodkin's "StoryBlast" at Shaw Theatre are on sale now and range from $10 to $15.
