WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Brass Christmas celebration is free local favoriteDec. 3, 2007 KALAMAZOO-- The Western Brass Quintet presents its popular holiday program at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University. The concert is free and open to the public. "A Brass Celebration of Christmas" features the Western Brass Quintet and an ensemble of talented students and faculty from the WMU School of Music. Members of the brass quintet are Scott Thornburg and Stephen Jones, trumpet; Lin Foulk, horn; Daniel Mattson, trombone; and Deanna Swoboda, tuba. The program includes festive music for brass ensemble with selections from the Renaissance, Baroque and other periods.
