Candidate Mike Gravel's visit to WMU canceledJan. 9, 2008 KALAMAZOO--Democratic presidential candidate Mike Gravel's town hall meeting Jan. 14 at Western Michigan University has been canceled. Gravel, a former U.S. Senator from Alaska, was scheduled to take questions from the audience at a public meeting Monday evening in WMU's Bernhard Center. Gravel has influenza and is canceling all public appearances for 10 days, according to Brian Gutman, president of the College Democrats of WMU, which was sponsoring the event.
