Bronco Express shortens midweek hours

Jan. 22, 2008

KALAMAZOO--Beginning Jan. 23, Western Michigan University's year-round student service center, Bronco Express, will trim its Wednesday hours, opening at 10 a.m. and closing at the usual time of 5 p.m.

The change is effective for both walk-in and phone service hours. Located on the first floor of the WMU Bernhard Center, Bronco Express will continue to assist students from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Bronco Express is a location where, with no appointments needed, students can:

  • Apply for financial aid or pick up needed forms
  • Check the status of financial aid applications
  • Find out when financial aid is expected to post to accounts
  • Receive unofficial transcripts and ask basic registration questions
  • Check account balances and get clarification on charges
  • Make payments on accounts
  • Pick up refund checks

Bronco Express was established in 2006 in response to student requests for a convenient, year-round place to take care of everyday University business. The Bronco Express staff assists students with transactions and questions related to registration, financial aid and student accounts. During busy times, pagers are issued so students don't have to wait in line. Instead, they can visit the cafeteria or Bronco Mall, shop for books and supplies, or find a comfortable place to study.
