WMU Home > About WMU > WMU News Italian musician's first U.S. recital is at WMUFeb. 12, 2008 KALAMAZOO--Massimo La Rosa, principal trombonist of the Cleveland Orchestra, makes his U.S. solo debut at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University. La Rosa's program includes works by Hindemith, Sulek, Pryor and Bozza. General admission seating is $10 and $5 for students. Tickets are available at the door. A native of Italy, La Rosa moved to the United States to join the Cleveland Orchestra last year. Before relocating to States, La Rosa was a member of the orchestra at La Fenice ("the Phoenix") Theatre in Venice, Italy.
