Annual United Way campaign poised to beginSept. 19, 2008 KALAMAZOO--Western Michigan University will set its annual United Way campaign into motion with a special agency fair and kickoff rally from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, in the Bernhard Center Ballroom. The entire University community is invited to "Come out to the Fair." The event will feature opening remarks by President John M. Dunn and an opportunity to learn more about Greater Kalamazoo United Way's partner agencies. More than a dozen local organizations will have representatives on hand to answer questions about how United Way contributions are used to create positive change in local communities. This year's campus United Way campaign officially runs Oct. 1-31. The University goal of $225,000 will contribute to the Greater Kalamazoo United Way's $10.9 million overall target.
